Okay, this would be the first time I've had a blog. Never figured what to use one for. This is my blog for my "Effective Research Techniques" CDS.
A little bit on myself- I'm taking the Diploma in Game and Entertainment Technology come April, but I'm not too sure what to think of it. Guess I'll find out within the next month. My family consists of my parents, my brother, and I. My brother's serving his NS period right now. He's been dumped into the Sea Soldier course.
The Sea Soldier course, contrary to its name, has absolutely nothing to do with the Navy. However, because of its name, it's a division of the Navy. This middle ground results in the division's "motto" - "Rejected by Army, unwanted by Navy". The Sea Soldiers are basically glorified guards and Regimental Policemen. All they do is stand around guarding the Naval bases around Singapore.
Because they have absolutely nothing to do with the sea, the Sea Soldiers are issued regular green-and-brown army uniforms, and I'm not sure about how things are right now, but during my brother's training, the trainees are required to starch their uniforms and shine their boots. Nobody starches their uniforms anymore, except for the Sea Soldier division. That might be because the chief instructor is over 50 years old - they starch their uniforms back in those days...
My parents are both working, my father as a coffee shop owner/helper, and my mother as an administrator in a company that buys and distributes metals. My mother leaves in the morning at 6, and comes back at 6 in the evening, while my father leaves at 5 or 6 in the evening, and returns at 2, 3, 4, 5, depending, in the morning.
As a result, our family is usually never complete at the dinner table, save for those REALLY coincidental days.
My hobbies include, but are not limited to, drawing, reading, and writing. Nowadays, I don't find too much time for my hobbies, though. A few websites I use to fuel my hobbies are http://www.fanfiction.net/, http://www.deviantart.com/, and http://www.minitokyo.net/.
